About

Hi! I’m Maxine, and I’m so excited to meet you! If you’re looking for a dietitian to help heal your relationship with food and your body, you’re in the right place. I practice intuitive eating–based nutrition counseling and embrace the Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach. If you’ve ever felt trapped by health and wellness culture or like your weight has defined every conversation about your health, I’m here to help you challenge those beliefs and build a more neutral, compassionate relationship with food and your body.

I have over 12 years of experience working across higher levels of care for eating disorders and other mental health diagnoses. Those experiences have fueled my passion for helping people develop a healthy, sustainable relationship with food. I think of myself as more of a coach than an educator because, in my experience, most clients already know what they "should" do, they just need support putting that knowledge into practice in a way that fits their real lives. My goal is to be that bridge.

I know that improving your relationship with food and nutrition can be challenging, emotionally draining, and deeply personal. But you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to put in the work, celebrate the wins, and share a few laughs along the way, you’re in the right place. I’m here to walk alongside you, support you through the process, and help you achieve goals that feel meaningful and sustainable for you.

What it's like working with me

Your Sessions with Me: I draw upon concepts from CBT, DBT, FBT, and ACT to inform my approach. Every session is tailored to honor your goals, preferences, and pace. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where your experiences are heard, respected, and validated. You are the only person who has lived your life, so you know yourself best. The more you share, the better I can understand your unique experiences and support you in a way that feels meaningful and effective. We'll work together as a team to identify what's getting in the way, build practical skills, and create lasting changes that fit your life.

My Energy: I am fun and grounding. I think it's important to find the joy, even when things feel difficult. I'm also here to support you while holding you accountable.

Outside of the Office: When I'm not working, I love spending time with my two kids and my dog. You can usually find me searching for great food and coffee, getting lost in a good book, taking a walk, or enjoying a movie.

Fun Fact: I'm one of five kids, and I loved growing up in a busy, fun-filled household. I think that sense of connection and community has shaped who I am today.
